Muslim women strike back

In a follow-up to this entry, here's the latest: PAS leader's lipstick remarks spark outcry.

KUALA LUMPUR - Women's groups and the government yesterday criticised Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat, spiritual leader of Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS), for saying women should stop wearing lipstick and perfume to lower the risk of being raped.

One of the women's groups quoted the Kuran to show that Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat was dead wrong.

And my favorite part, which may simply be recycled from the first article:

A senior adviser to Datuk Nik Aziz, Mr Anwar Bakri, said the politician's comments were unfairly reported.

Of course they were! People who disagreed with your comments got their hands on them! That's just wrong!

It's truly amazing to see someone who believes that he is smarter than every single other person on the face of the planet.
