These candidates are vying for the Democratic party nomination to the US Senate seat in the primary election.

All information from King County Local Voters Pamphlet, Primary & Special Election – September 19, 2006, United States Senator, DEM.

  • Michael Goodspaceguy Nelson

"The waste and destruction of taxpayers’ space property show a lack of understanding of space colonization."

  • Mike The Mover

"Put Saddam Hussein back in power and let the Iraqi army patrol their own borders."

  • Mohammad H. Said

"Israel was rated by 12 European countries, in a survey, to be number one threat to world peace."

  • Hong Tran

"I am the only Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate calling for the quick withdrawal of U.S. Troops from Iraq."

  • Maria Cantwell

"America needs a strong foreign policy, but it’s time for other countries, like Iraq, to provide their own security. U.S. troops should start coming home this year."

End result: two Iraq cut-and-runners; one go-into-space guy (or is he already in space?), one nutcase with a beard (Mike the Mover), and one supremely offensive candidate who probably based his entire campaign on The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Disgusting.
