Simple movie review: Inside Man

Inside Man, directed by Spike Lee, is a good bank robbery flick with some neat plot twists.

Warning: spoilers

What I learned watching this movie:

  • All black people are good guys, and incorruptible.
  • Most white people suffer from moral turpitude. The rest think black people are uppity. Some are stupid, too.
  • Pulling the turban off a Sikh and calling him an "Arab" is a bad thing, even if he just walked out of a bank dressed like the bank robbers, with his hands tied behind his back and a large box hung around his neck.
  • It is more important for a Sikh to have his turban and respect from other people than for him to assist the police with rescuing 50 hostages.
  • Only white people must be told to quit using offensive ethnic terms to describe people who are not white.
  • White women are liars and thieves, and some have big breasts. If a white woman has big breasts, then she lies and steals money. If she does not have big breasts, then she lies and entraps people for her gain.
  • Jewish people are good liars.

I think I got all the lessons Mr. Lee served up. Boy, am I sure glad I watched Inside Man!
