Why I do not attend Gnomedex
Chris Pirillo is a great guy, and it sounds like Gnomedex was a fun, exciting, technolog-oriented place to be. It's also local to me.
I do not attend because I have flipped the bozo bit on some of the people in regular attendance, notably Dave Winer. Apparently Mr. Winer chose to start a flame war, again, based on a complete lack to adjust to this dimension's reality. See Blake Ross's description (Ross received Mr. Winer's stupidity and batted it right back). Robert Scoble also skipped out on reality.
Were I to attend a conference, I expect some assholes but no fuckwits.
