Well, it sort of explains it. Actually, it doesn't really. I don't get it.

Oh, ok - now I get it. The paper he cited from Agre was about the differences between conservatism as an ideology and conservative philosophy (quick take: ideology bad, philosophy good).
Abiding by my better instincts, I won't fisk the comments he makes about Agre's paper and conservative ideology & philosophy - because that would just highlight my ignorance.
But now I know. Mr. Blankenhorn's a liberal. OK.
He's still worth reading.
