Dunphy on real business
Stephen H. Dunphy writes about fake businesses, real businesses, and government in Economic Memo: The real business world. It's a nice look at the difference between the hyped-up media-saavy and hard-working, unsanitized (pun intended) versions.
Unfortuneately, he ends his column with a whopper of a statement, one that I cannot figure out from whence it came.
Accountability is a two-way street in this case. It's time for the Legislature to be accountable to the most important constituent in the state: Business.
WHAT?
Last time I checked, people were the most important constituents. Businesses don't get to vote (although they seem to get way too many perks).
