The Great Windstorm Of 2006
Just the facts for now, commentary later.
We lost power at 12:30 a.m. Friday morning, December 15. Power was restored 9:10 a.m. Sunday, December 17. We weathered about 54 hours without electricity, in a 30+ year-old condominium building (one story townhouse-style). The rainstorm preceding and during the windstorm penetrated the roof around the chimney, resulting in one steady and one intermittent leak.
