Glad I don't read Newsweek any more

Via Jane Galt: Oops

Newsweek magazine on Sunday said it erred in a May 9 report that said U.S. interrogators desecrated the Koran at Guantanamo Bay, and apologized to the victims of deadly Muslim protests sparked by the article.

I switched to a different weekly news magazine with a significantly less liberal bias.

The riots bring up another point - people died because their worldview is so brittle and their beliefs so violent. I talked to someone before that I don't believe in a rich-versus-poor divide, or a digital divide.

I think there is a divide, but it's much more deep and, ironically, fully viewable by only those on one side: the division is between those who think for themselves and those who follow blindly.
