Speakerphones and Powerpoint - how annoying can you be?

This happened about 3 weeks ago.

Several administrative assistants were listening to a company-internal (talking about profits and bonuses) conference call LOUDLY, in one's cubicle in the central office area of a not-terribly-large space, when another listener disconnects - so then there were people talking over a very annoying, insistent beeping tone. And apparently they were collectively looking at a POWERPOINT PRESENTATION.

The call was for at least 20 minutes, and the beeping went on for at least five. The moderator did not know how to mute anyone or everyone - or just didn't bother.

So annoying, I wanted to rip my hair out and stuff it into my ears.

Scratch that. Actually I wanted to rip their hair out and stuff it into my ears...
