Debunking The Bambi Hoax
Yes, the Bambi hunt thing sounded a little fishy to me, too - but I didn't care about it. Susan Paynter, Seattle P-I columnist did ("Bambi hunt paints an ugly picture of women", "Readers spare no ammo on Bambi hunt"). And Techdirt reported on how the Urban Legends References Pages (snopes.com) did their usual thorough debunking (check out their first 2 comments - it's a howler {3 points if you get the reference}).
