Read maybe 1.5 chapters of Stanislaw Lem's "His Master's Voice" and couldn't stand it. Created a whole new category in SimpleShelf: Did not finish. Got about halfway through Robert Hellenga's "The sixteen pleasures" before giving up, too.
And for a completely invalid and worthless comparison, read Mikki Halpin's "The geek handbook" in about 45 minutes flat. Fun little read.
