April fool's?
Slashdot's editors asleep at the wheel - story at 5, 6, and 11. Seems they posted 3 articles referring to the same subject (release of RFC 3514).
RFC 3514: New Bit Defined for IPv4 Headers went up on Mon Mar 31, '03 07:25 PM; New RFC Adds "Evil Bit" arrived at Tue Apr 01, '03 05:02 AM, and Evil Bit Added to TCP/IP Packets finished the race at Tue Apr 01, '03 07:30 AM.
Granted, two of these articles are on April First (all three if you're counting from GMT), and no, I haven't read any of them. Why bother?
