How much better we are
The judge's rebuke of Mr. Reid's (the shoe bomber) statement in court.
I can fisk Mr. Reid's final statements in court. I can point out the fallacies, inaccuracies, outright lies. I can point out the hatred evident in his thinking, his religion, and his causes.
Or I can simply point out how much better we are in the United States of America than any of his fellow citizens and compatriots are in their respective countries. And I mean that in terms of our lives, our freedoms, our rights - and our interactions with "others."
And then I can point out why.
