Software blamed for grounding flights

CNN had this article about a glitch grounding 200+ flights and delaying ~1,300 over a 2-day period in Japan, because of a computer glitch.

As a programmer, I wish to point out that two separate sets of technicians dismissed the existing, known problem as a low priority to fix.

The system had been running for 4 months without problems, so they do have a little bit of justification for leaving it as-is.

A little bit. And that little bit just bit them. Hard.
