Less permanent, more secure
I kind of feel weird typing this stuff in, because it's less "permanent" than writing it in a physical journal - but then it's much easier, faster, and I can read my handwriting. And I can categorize it. And it's easier to publish, and ironically to keep secure, at least from disaster - can't exactly put copies of my journal off-site without losing the ability to look at them!
